What Is Your US B1 & B2 Visa Interview Experience – US Visa Interview Questions And Answers

US VISA EXPERIENCE: Started my day with a very relaxed mind. I was ready and my VAC appointment was done the previous day.

Consular Officer: Good morning!! Can I have your passport, please?

Consular Officer: How many times you have been outside India?

Me: I have never been outside India.

Consular Officer: What’s the purpose of your visit?

Me: I have been invited by Google to attend a conference.

Consular Officer: Explain what kind of conference is it?

Me: It’s for the individuals who actively contribute to the Google community forum.

Consular Officer: Why have they invited you?

Me: Because I am an active contributor on Google community forum.

Consular Officer: How are you going to pay the expenses in the US?

Me: Everything will be paid by Google, it’s already written in the letter.

Consular Officer: What do you do?

Me: Currently I don’t work, I met with an accident, it broke my ankle and had to undergo two surgeries.

Consular Officer: But how?

Me: I was trying to save a puppy.

Consular Officer: What is the profession of your father?

Me: We have a family business, we make raw materials used in pain killers.

Consular Officer: And where were you previously working?

Me: I was in activateandpresent.com as a senior executive in digital advertising.

Consular Officer: So where do you live and with whom?

Me: I live with my parents in a joint family in Ahmedabad.

Consular Officer: Nice. Your visa will be ready in 2 to 3 days. Take care.

Interviewer: What is Vastu Shastra?

Me: Vastu Shastra is like doing the forecasting by analyzing different scenarios before building a home.

Interviewer: What’s your annual income?

Me: I make 600,000 INR per year

Interviewer: What’s the purpose of your visit?

Me: My Client wants to buy a home in the US, So, they called me

Interviewer: Are you unmarried/single?

Me: Yes, I’m single

Interviewer: Sorry I can’t give you the VISA. Please take your Passport.


Me: Hi, Good Morning

VO: Good Morning, Passport please.

Me: (Gave my passport through the path provided in the glass chamber)

VO: Hey what is the purpose of your visit?

Me: The purpose of my visit…

VO: Can you please come closer to the mic.

Me: Sure Ma’am. (After reaching at the mic) My purpose of the visit is to gather business requirements for our audit application, we have designed app to understand the business.

VO: Ok.. Can you explain what is the Audit Application?

Me: Audit application eliminates all those traditional manual processes with pen & papers with the automated one. The 1st phase of this application has completed, now it’s the time of the second phase, I’m going there to gather the requirement for phase -2 to understand the business.

VO: What is your Designation?

Me: I’m working as a Business Analyst in XXX Private Limited.

VO: What is your current salary?

Me: 60,000 INR per month (what I mentioned in VISA form)

VO: Where you will stay in the US?

Me: Reston, Virginia

VO: You will work there?

Me: Never

VO: Just assure me how you get a comeback?

Me: See, my husband will be here in India during that time..So, I have to come back.

VO: Ok…Congratulations for traveling (with a smile)

Me: Thank You…Have a nice day!!!
