You simply need to follow the below steps to check UK visa status.
How to Check UK Visa Status
- Go to UK Visa Tracking page to check your visa status.
- Enter your passport number or GWF number.
- After you enter required details, tap on sumbit button.
- That’s it, in next screen you will see UK visa status.
- GWF number used only if you have opted for courier service.
It will ask you to enter some important information such as ISH (Immigration Health Surcharge Number), BRPN (Biometric Resident Permit Number), Case ID (Case Identification Number), PRN (Payment Reference Number) and UAN (Unique Application Number).
You can easily find Case ID and UAN number from the application letter, PRN and IHS number receive after successful payment and the BRPN number available on the biometric permit.
Procedure to Check UK Application Visa Status
Step 1: First, go to the official website of Gov.uk from your smartphone or computer.
Step 2: Scroll down and you can find so many options, Here you need to select the Visas and Immigration as shown in below image.
Step 3: Choose the first option is “What you need to do” and select “Contact UK Visas and Immigration about your application” inside the manage your application section.
Step 4: You will redirect you to contact visas and immigration page and tap on the Next button. It will allow you to contact from inside or outside the UK.
Step 5: Select the option from where you applied for a visa such as inside or outside the UK and click on the Next step button.
Step 6: Choose your preferred language to speak to someone on the phone and get a reply to an email. Here you will find different options to contact the immigration departments are given below.
Phone Call Service:
You can also call directly to the immigration department on 00 44 203 4811741 from your registered mobile number. Phone call service charges up to $1.50 per minute and additional international charge. This service available 24 hours from Monday to Friday.

Email Service:
You can also send email to the embassy and it charges up to $6 for the first email. Once you complete payment of email you don’t need to pay additional money for upcoming emails.
Also, keep in mind it will take up to 3 working days to reply from the immigration department. Make sure your email contains all required details like your query or question in full details, passport number, application reference, and your personal information.
