How to Check MNP Status

  • First visit the MNP Status website to know your porting status.
  • It will ask you to enter your mobile number and UPC code.
  • Type captcha code as shown in the image.
  • After entering all details, tap on the submit button.
  • Next, you will see the status of your mobile number portability request.

How to Port Your Number

Before we continue keep in mind you can submit the porting request only after 3 months of the date of activation of your number.

In case if your mobile number is already ported then you are eligible only after 3 months from the date of previous porting.

  • To begin the porting process first you need to generate UPC (Unique Porting Code) by sending the SMS below format.

  • After 1-2 hours you will receive a message from 1901 with 8 digit UPC code. This code will be received from the donor operator.
  • Sometime current operator may call you to stick on their network by offering some exclusive benefits.
  • Now visit the nearest store of the operator you wish to port in order to fill the CAF (Customer Acquisition Form).
  • In this form, you need to type the UPC code and attach passport size photo, proof of identities such as Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter id card or Driving license.
  • Once you submit the form you will receive a new SIM card instantly.
  • The complete process can take up to seven days and you will also charge a nominal fee of Rs 19.
  • If you are from the Jammu & Kashmir, North East, and Assam then it may take up to 15 days.

Can an MNP Request Rejected

Yes, your request also rejected by current mobile operators for so many reasons and one common is an unpaid bill.

Within 2-3 days you will receive a message from the current service provider where your request is rejected or not.

In case if your service has been rejected you can call the support team and ask why your request has been rejected. It will help you to fix this problem.

  • Make sure you are using number with the current operator at least 90 days before submitting the porting request.
